Climate Action Teams (CAT): a model for climate cooperation ‘Progress in the development of a potential crediting baseline in Chile’

The Climate Action Teams (CAT) event at Climate Week 2021 convened researchers, modelers, policymakers and the private sector to discuss the potential to achieve ambitious emissions reductions through international cooperation in carbon markets, using Climate Action Teams (CAT) agreements. José Miguel Valdés and Francisco Meza, from Universidad Católica de Chile presented the potential for ambitious emissions reductions, beyond Chile’s NDC. The results were discussed by Suzi Kerr (Chief Economist of EDF), Sarah Deblock (Manager ETS Markets, Ministry for the Environment, New Zealand), Paolo Pallotti  (General Manager, Enel Chile), Paul Young (Climate Change Commission, New Zealand) and Juan Pedro Searle (Head of Climate Change, Ministry of Energy, Chile).
