Expert discussion: Methodological design of a Climate Team Agreement, July 2021

The Climate Teams initiative convened experts from IEA, IETA, Wuppertal Institute, Universidad Catolica, Universidad de Chile, Perspectives and EDF, as well as Government representatives from Chile and Switzerland. The goal of the meeting was to discuss the appropriate design of a Climate Team agreement with a focus on the methodological issues of setting the crediting baseline, key integrity safeguards beyond baselines and MRV. The overarching question of the session was “How to operationalise the methodological approach of creating mitigation for transfer in a Climate Teams agreement?”.
