Aglaja Espelage recently graduated from the binational Master’s degree in Applied Political Sciences at the University of Freiburg, Germany and the IEP Aix-en-Provence, France. During her academic and vocational training, she worked on sustainable development, development cooperation and climate change policy.
Aglaja joined Perspectives in 2017. As Consultant and Project Manager, she works on carbon markets and current developments in market mechanisms, especially related to Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. Furthermore, she developed expertise in carbon pricing instruments and the interplay of multilateral environmental agreements. Aglaja follows closely the UNFCCC negotiations on market mechanisms, climate finance and transparency. She has particular experience with projects in francophone regions, especially in Morocco. She speaks fluently French, English and Spanish.
