Cristobal conducts empirical analysis on the effects of local air pollution on human health and the economy to inform policymakers for setting air quality standards that protect the environment, people’s health and advance economic activity. He also works on creating country-level climate coalitions and efficient market-based mitigation schemes for aiding countries in meeting their carbon mitigation commitments or NDCs.

Cristobal holds a PhD in Environmental Economics from the University of Maryland – College Park
